The Sons & Daughters of Erin and Black Rabbit Mead Company present our 3rd Annual Halfway To St. Patrick’s Day Concert featuring Fiddler and Composer Corwin Zekley and Pianist and Songwriter Grace Fellows play traditional music and original tunes. Our “Halfway” Series strives to feature musicians from out of town who play traditional music and our selection this year features a duo who have experience playing for Contra Dances, English Country Dances, Weddings, and Events.
Fiddler and Composer Corwin Zekley and Pianist and Songwriter Grace Fellows play traditional music and original tunes, with experience playing for Contra Dances, English Country Dances, Weddings, and Events. Corwin & Grace have a versatile sound that can be lively, dramatic, romantic, or soft in the background.
Corwin has been a touring fiddler for over 5 years, having been educated at the Berklee College of Music in Boston and Idyllwild Arts High School, beginning to learn fiddle at the age of 4 through Lark Camp and other traditional music communities. Corwin has toured extensively in the US, Europe, and the UK appearing on many albums in a variety of genres.
Grace has been a musician, songwriter, and music educator for more than 15 years, having studied at California Institute of the Arts (BFA) and BIMM, London (MA) her background on fiddle, education in classical and pop music, and experience writing songs and learning covers on piano come together to inform her traditional accompaniment style.
Our “Halfway” series in one of three annual marquee events SADOE presents including our St. Patrick’s Day Dinner & Show in March and the Northern Nevada Celtic Ceilidh in May. The event is free however donations are appreciated
