We encourage SADOE members to attend the free Skerryvore Scottish folk/rock band who will be playing as part of the month-long Artown Festival from 7 to 9 pm, next Wednesday, July 3 at the Wingfield Park Amphitheater in Downtown Reno.

Both our organization and our friends in the Nevada Society of Scottish Clans are encouraging our members to wear their Celtic attire at this event. You may bring portable chairs and blankets and picnic items (no glass) into the park.

Prior to the show, there will be an exclusive whiskey tasting along with the band at Ceol Irish Bar from 5-6 p.m. Band members will tell the participants about each whisky — the area where it is made, and the maturation process of each whisky. Skerryvore then will play a selected piece of music while they sample each one. Overflow will have the option to enjoy the community outreach, or purchase the whisky to participate.
